Niagara Falls is often thought of as a romantic wonderland. Honeymooners have been traveling to Niagara Falls for nearly 200 years. Niagara Falls has become such an amazing hotspot for honeymooners that 20th Century Fox Studios decided to shoot a film at Niagara Falls about the Falls.

Starring Marilyn Monroe as Rose Loomis and Joseph Cotton as her husband George Loomis, the film was released in 1953. The plot sets the married couple (Rose and George Loomis) at a Niagara Falls hotel. While on their honeymoon, the Cuttlers meet George and Rose. Mrs. Cuttler discovers that Marilyn Monroe’s character has a lover. Then, Rose and her lover (Ted Patrick) plot to murder Mr. Loomis. In the movie, Marilyn Monroe also sings “Kiss”.

If you wish to feel like Marilyn Monroe, you can stay at the hotel she and the rest of the “Niagara” cast stayed at while they were filming. The Skyline Brock is still a top hotel even after 79 years in the hotel business. As you can imagine, the Skyline Brock hotel is the essence of romance (nothing less for the gracious, notorious Marilyn Monroe, of course).
